A rainbow fur baby is a fur baby born shortly after the loss of a previous fur baby due to natural death, accidents, or loss of any kind. This term is given to these special rainbow fur babies because a rainbow typically follows a storm, giving us hope, a reason to go on and love again with our shattered hearts.

I am a rainbow puppy because I was born shortly after the loss of my Mama and Daddy's previous fur-babies.
